Terms and Conditions

By processing your payment, you have agreed to the terms and conditions as stated on our website and outlined below for your convenience.

General Information:

Prices listed are for double occupancy (two adults) and are in American dollars unless otherwise stated; however, all charges will be conducted in Mexican pesos. An additional $15 per day will be applied for every adult in excess of two. Off season rates do not include breakfast. We also enforces a strict non-smoking policy. Any guests caught smoking on the property will be considered destructive, will incur an additional cleaning fee of $250 per room, and may evicted immediately without refund. Any guests causing harm or disturbance to other guests, staff, or local individuals not associated with The Victoria, may also be evicted immediately, without refund, and may also be subject to additional charges by local authorities. If guests lose their issued keys, an additional fee of $20 will also be applied.

Check-In and Check-Out:

Check-in is 3pm local time, If you require an earlier check-in  let us know at the time of your reservation and we will do our best to accommodate you. Please do not plan on checking out later than 11am local time. If this is an issue, please contact Colin@thevictoriaajijic.com. We always strive to accommodate travel plans, however, this is not always possible.

Reservations and Cancellation Policy:

In order to guarantee a reservation, a 50% downpayment of the reservation’s total cost is required at the time of booking, and the remaining balance must be paid upon arrival. Guests can cancel their reservation up to 120 days before their original arrival date with a 50% refund of their deposit. If guests cancel their reservations less than 120 days prior to their arrival, the deposit is forfeited. Full payment must be received for any reservation made within 120 days of arrival and is non refundable. All cancellations must also be made by the individual who originally made the reservation. At no point will third party cancellations be accepted. As we are a small guesthouse, we cannot be held responsible for disruptions in reservations due to travel delays, health issues, or early departures. Full payment must be received for discounted or off season reservations, which are non refundable.

How to Guarantee a Reservation:

Reservations can only be guaranteed if The Victoria receives a 50% deposit at the time of booking. All charges will be converted at a rate of 23 Mexican pesos per $1US (subject to change) and can be made in three ways:

  • Via PayPal through our website or email: you do not need to be a member of Paypal in order to use this service. Simply contact Colin to discuss your reservation, and he will email you a customized invoice that can be paid like any other online product or service. Or you can make the reservation yourself using our website. All charges will be in Mexican pesos and deducted from your debit/credit card in your currency. The Victoria is not responsible for additional fees due to currency exchange.
  • Via onsite credit/debit card terminal: The Victoria is setup to accept debit and credit card payments in Mexican pesos only. The credit/debit card must be present as it will be swiped or chip read via an onsite banking terminal. The Victoria is not responsible for any additional fees that may be charged by your banking institutions as a result of currency conversion.
  • Via Mexican pesos: The Victoria welcomes payments in cash, however, we regret that we can only accept Mexican pesos. At no time will payments in foreign currencies be accepted.


Visitor and Pet Policy

Guests are encouraged to make use of the communal areas and are encouraged to have friends and family visit them during their stay. Well behaved pets are also loved and welcomed at The Victoria. However, guests are entirely responsible for the behaviour of their friends and beloved animals throughout the duration of their reservation. Any damaged property or distress caused by guests and their visitors/pets will result in a minimum $250 charge. For those travelling with their pets, an additional fee of $5 per animal per day is required in order to ensure that our suites are thoroughly cleaned for our next guests. Guests are also expected not to leave their pets unattended, nor are pets allowed in the master kitchen. Pets are also expected to relieve themselves outside of the property.
